Andy Lacey started in IT (or Data Processing as it was then) in 1975 after taking a degree in Modern Languages at Oxford.
His first jobs were with IBM mainframes, programming in Cobol and Assembler.
He eventually moved into systems analysis and project management. He co-founded SystemBuild Software in 1984, developing and selling ready-built macro-driven spreadsheets in Lotus 1-2-3 on early IBM PC's. The company moved through dBase and Clipper to developing in Access.
Andy left to found Minster Systems in 2000, and is still designing and developing in Access.
